DEZA Invested in Production Modernisation. Capacity Increased by 40%, Emissions to Fall by up to 80%

DEZA’s production site in Valašské Meziříčí has completed one of its most significant modernisation projects in recent years.

The modernisation focused on the ester production unit. Esters are used primarily as plasticisers in plastics manufacturing. They are added mainly to PVC to give it flexibility, ductility and durability.

Two major investments have increased production capacity, introduced more modern process control and reduced emissions from the production unit by up to 80%.

“This reduction in emissions was not required by legislation. It was our own decision as part of our efforts to improve the environment around the plant,” explains Jiří Spiegl, Head of Operations.

The modernisation increased the unit’s capacity by 40% to more than 70,000 tonnes per year.

The higher production capacity gives the company greater flexibility to respond to customer demand and further develop its plasticiser production activities.
