COMPLIANCE PROGRAMME AND ETHICS HOTLINE TELL US
The AGROFERT Group is committed to ensuring that the daily activities of the Group companies comply at all times with the law, rules of ethical behaviour, sustainable business practices and fair business practices. In order to set standards, a Compliance Programme has been adopted, which includes a Code of Conduct containing the Group’s basic principles, values and rules, as well as a Code of Conduct for Business Partners, which sets out the minimum requirements for ethical behaviour and sustainable business that we expect our business partners to comply with.
Measures to assist in the detection and elimination of possible illegal or unethical conduct include the operation of the Ethics Hotline Tell Us, which can be used to report suspected violations of the Code of Conduct. The Ethics Hotline is thus intended not only for employees of AGROFERT Group companies, but also for business partners and any other persons who may report violations of applicable laws or the Group’s approved rules of ethical conduct. All notifications will be properly, promptly, independently and objectively investigated and corrective or preventive action will be taken where violations are found. Any retaliatory measures against the person who made the notification in good faith are not permitted or tolerated.
Complaints submitted through the Ethics Hotline or to the Company’s Compliance Officer are governed by the rules of the AGROFERT Group Compliance Programme and are not notifications under the Czech Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the protection of whistleblowers, as amended, or under the Slovak Act No. 54/2019 Coll., on the protection of whistleblowers of antisocial activities and on amendments to certain acts. Information for filing notifications under these laws can be found on the website of the relevant Group company to which the notification relates (AGROFERT, a.s. has the information listed here).
