AGROFERT Group, a leading Central European food producer, is strengthening its presence in Asia. The Group’s new objectives were announced today by AGROFERT Board Member Michal Jedlička at SIAL in Paris, the world’s largest trade fair for food innovation in the agri-food industry. “Over the past 12 months, we have successfully fulfilled contracts in Vietnam and have nearly completed the approval process for supplies to the Philippines and Singapore. We see SIAL as an opportunity to conclude further significant contracts in the Asian region,” said Michal Jedlička, Member of the Board of Directors of AGROFERT Group.

AGROFERT has long exported fresh meat and meat products to demanding Western European markets such as Germany, Austria, Denmark and Spain. Food products from AGROFERT Group are also supplied to customers in Vietnam and will soon be newly available in the Philippines and Singapore. “Food products from AGROFERT Group are currently exported to more than twenty countries worldwide, and our goal is to continue strengthening this position,” says Michal Jedlička, Member of the Board of Directors of AGROFERT Group.
AGROFERT Group has recently launched a new poultry slaughtering line in Vodňany (CZ), equipped with the highest level of technology currently available on the market. The line has a capacity of 15,000 birds per hour. The poultry processed there originates exclusively from Czech farms. In the near future, we plan to adapt the slaughtering technology to meet the requirements of Arab countries in order to satisfy growing demand in these territories.
At SIAL, AGROFERT is presenting, under the Animalco brand, a complete portfolio of meat, meat products and fresh and frozen semi-finished products intended for export markets.

Exports to Asian countries are currently dominated by basic meat cuts. The key to Animalco’s success in Southeast Asia lies in its ability to connect global markets and reliably supply commodities. “In addition to commodity trading, the long-term objective of our export activities is to establish regular supplies of products with higher added value. However, entering new markets will require building awareness of the Animalco brand, under which we intend to export these products,” explains Michal Jedlička, Member of the Board of Directors of AGROFERT Group.
