AGROFERT, a.s. (“AGROFERT”), a significant European nitrogen products manufacturer, announced today the successful completion of the acquisition of 100% in OCI Ammonia Holding B.V. (“OCI AH”).
The Transaction was valued at EUR 290 million. Net proceeds will be subject to customary closing adjustments. OCI AH owns both OCI Terminal Europoort B.V. (OTE) – OCI’s ammonia import and storage terminal in Rotterdam – and OCI Ammonia Distribution B.V. (OAD).
“Access to the sea strengthens our presence on the ammonia market and increases our ability to respond to market fluctuations. AGROFERT is implementing a new strategy that will enhance our flexibility in ammonia sourcing for our fertilizers production in Europe,” said Petr Cingr vice-chairman of the board of directors of the AGROFERT Group.
